Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include collaborative or independent research of high quality with distinctive, original, and expert intellectual contributions. Research experience in biomedical optics and its applications in translational medicine, with a focus on developing and applying advanced optical techniques for monitoring physiological parameters in clinical settings is required.
The successful candidate will be expected to secure independent research grant support, usually from federal organizations, in addition to support from participation in collaborative grants. Mentorship of graduate students or postdoctoral fellows, while not required, should be of high quality.
