We are seeking an Associate Staff Engineer - Material Characterization and Testing who will support the technical activities of the Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute (HEMI) in the 3D characterization facility and HyFIRE fest facility under the supervision of the staff engineer and faculty for the Institute.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage the 3D characterization facility, including a FE-SEM, EBSD and EDS detectors, in situ mechanical tester, and high-powered femtosecond laser.Assist in operation and research efforts in other HEMI facilities, including HyFIRE testing facility and AIMD materials characterization facility.Train researchers in the use of equipment and manage all
