The Bio Photonics Laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research assistant to work on experimental and theoretical research on selected topics in the area of microfluidic devices, laser transport, micro-optical phenomena, and photonics. This covers both research and development of applications and devices.
Applications are invited for the position of Research Assistant for the duration of 1 year, which can be extended by mutual interest. Applicants must have a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or physics or related field. Masters degree is preferred. Demonstrated experimental and simulation skills relevant to the projects are required. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment in Prof. Sunil Kumar's research group consisting of postdoctoral researchers and scientists, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
