The individual must have a general understanding of the technology and research that faculty and students are pursuing. It is essential to have strong communication skills and be able to work with researchers to ensure that they are functioning in a safe and effective environment. The ability to provide technical program management as part of an administrative team for large scale grant funded projects is essential, as well as an individual who is organized and able to multi-task in a busy environment. Education, training, and procedure writing are essential. This position also requires familiarity with various laboratory set-ups, safety, and requirements, including understanding of BSL2, lab safety and laser safety requirements. Requires the ability to determine building upgrades for safety requirements. Proficiency with AutoCAD is helpful for lab updates.
