Years of Experience:
Sales of Cobolt products to new customers as well as maintaining established accounts.
Drive the sales order process from initial inquiry and quotation through order fulfillment.
Develop high quality relationships with customers through value added consultative selling and after sales technical support.
Provide hands on service support to customers concerned about their laser performance. If factory service is required, you will manage the return process and inform customers of the evaluation and repair status.
Maintain a solid technical understanding of Cobolt’s specifications and how they provide a performance advantage in the customer’s applications.
Regular interactions with the Cobolt engineering team in Sweden in order to address complex technical issues and provide complete and timely feedback to customer’s requests for information.
Work with our office administrator to make sure customer that orders, requirements, and new opportunities are properly entered and up to date in our CRM and ERP systems
Maintain sales forecast and keep product managers in Sweden informed of opportunity status and next steps.
Attend trade conferences and exhibitions, and travel to customer sites as required.
Up to 30% travel, both within North America and internationally.
Continue to improve sales skills through continuing education, seminars, and in house mentoring
A minimum BS or BA degree in a physical science or engineering. An advanced degree in any of those majors a plus
Excellent communications skills with superior listening and presentation skills
A positive attitude and the willingness to go the extra mile for the customer and for Cobolt.
Prior sales experience is not required; however previous experience in the sales of scientific equipment into the research and university markets a definite plus.
Willing to work from our US headquarters in San Jose, CA
Hands on familiarity with lasers and laser applications
A current Passport and willing to travel up to 30% of the time, both domestically and internationally
