The Active Perception Laboratory < http://aplab.bcs.rochester.edu/> is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work on the development and use of advanced optical systems to measure anatomical features in the human retina as well as on the refinement of high-resolution video-eyetracking systems currently at a prototype stage in the laboratory.
The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in designing and building complex optical systems. Experience with adaptive optics, image processing, optical design and real-time software development are desirable. Ability to work well in a team is essential, as well as the capability to work independently when needed. Candidates with a strong background in visual science and/or retinal imaging are encouraged to apply.
